Terms and conditions
What you are actually booking when you join a ritual: what is included, what is not, and what each side is expected to do.
To be completed. The owner's details (⟨LEGAL NAME⟩, ⟨TAX ID⟩, ⟨ADDRESS⟩) and a professional review are still pending. There is also one question the organisation must settle before publishing: whether the activity counts as a "package travel" under Spanish law (RDL 1/2007), which would require a travel-agency licence and insolvency protection. §2 reflects most rituals — teaching and guidance, with no flights or accommodation— but the Kerala retreat includes accommodation and full board, which makes that confirmation all the more necessary.
1. Who we are
This site is owned by ⟨LEGAL NAME⟩ (⟨TAX ID⟩), registered at ⟨ADDRESS⟩, email info@matrikayoga.com. The trips are organised and guided by Matrika Yoga School / Pablo Ferrero Fernández.
2. What you are booking
By joining a ritual you book the teaching, guidance and accompaniment during the trip: daily yoga and meditation practice, philosophy talks, group coordination and support before and during the journey.
Unless the ritual page says otherwise, not included — you book these yourself, in your own name and at your own risk: international flights, visa, travel insurance, accommodation, internal transport, meals and personal expenses. Each ritual page lists what is included, the breakdown and an estimate of the total cost.
3. How booking works
- A conversation first. These trips are not for every moment in life, and we would rather say so beforehand.
- Registration form.
- Deposit: €500. This is the mutual commitment. Once the edition's minimum group is complete, the trip is confirmed and flight booking is coordinated.
- The rest follows each ritual's payment plan, set out on its page and confirmed to the group in writing.
If the minimum group does not come together, the deposit is refunded in full. There is no small print on this.
4. Prices
Each ritual's price appears on its page, in euros and including taxes. The published price covers what the page lists as included (§2). Total-cost estimates are indicative and deliberately calculated on the high side.
5. What we expect from you
- Travel with a valid passport (meeting the destination's validity rules) and the appropriate visa.
- Take out travel insurance with medical and repatriation cover.
- Tell us about medical conditions, allergies or treatments relevant to your safety and the group's.
- Respect the local culture, the rest of the group and the guide's safety instructions.
We may end the participation of anyone who puts the group at risk, with no refund and without prejudice to other liabilities.
6. Changes and cancellations
- On your side: see the cancellation policy.
- On ours: if the minimum group is not reached, or in cases of force majeure (natural disasters, conflict, health or entry restrictions), we may postpone or cancel. We then refund what you paid us, deducting only committed, documented third-party costs.
- We may adjust the itinerary for safety, weather or availability reasons, keeping the programme's meaning and quality.
7. Liability
We are liable for the proper delivery of what you book with us (§2). We are not liable for services you book directly with third parties — flights, insurance, accommodation — nor for harm arising from incomplete or inaccurate information you give us, nor for events of force majeure.
High-altitude travel — Ladakh is above 3,500 m — carries risks you accept when you join. Acclimatisation is explained in the pre-travel guide and following it is your responsibility.
8. Intellectual property
The texts, photographs, itineraries and guides on this site are ours or used with permission. You may read and share them with attribution; you may not reproduce them commercially without authorisation.
Photographs are taken during the trips. If you would rather not appear in the ones we publish, tell the guide or write to us.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by Spanish law. Any dispute will be heard by the courts designated under consumer protection rules, which for you will generally mean the courts of your place of residence.
You may also use the European online dispute resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
